The Midnight Club star Ruth Codd has updated her followers about her health after undergoing a second leg amputation, stemming from an injury she sustained at the age of 15.
Codd, known for her roles in The Fall Of House Of Usher and the UK reality show The Celebrity Traitors, has been living with the aftermath of the injury, which occurred during a soccer game, for 14 years.
The injury led to nerve damage in her leg, and after multiple surgeries failed to alleviate her pain, Codd had her first below-the-knee amputation in her early twenties.
In November 2025, Codd announced on TikTok that she was experiencing a ‘full circle moment’ as she prepared to return to her parents’ home to focus on creating TikTok content.
She revealed that the reason for the move was due to undergoing an amputation on her other leg.
She explained: “It’s just that this foot, I was on crutches for the bones of eight years and the way I used my crutches I was always kind of on my tippy toes.”

This action had severely damaged Codd’s joints, and doctors couldn’t repair the harm done.
Recently, Codd shared an update on her Instagram story, mentioning she was back to her usual antics of ‘world domination and winding up middle-aged white men’ after a ‘brief hiatus’.
“New legs loading,” she commented, suggesting the possibility of getting prosthetics soon.

Codd has previously expressed that she was ‘stuck in a really bad mindset’ due to her leg injuries, sharing with the Irish Examiner that she ‘didn’t see it getting any better’.
Recalling how she was first injured, Codd said: “I was just messing around in school and fell over playing soccer, which is the worst part because I don’t even like soccer. At least I could have gone out in a blaze of glory doing something that I loved but – no!
“It took eight years of my life, constantly going in and out of hospital,” she said regarding the injury, leading up to her first amputation.
“When I made the decision to amputate it, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. I could get on with my life,” Codd stated.
Following the second amputation, Codd has continued to find humor in her situation, sharing a TikTok video reacting to a comment suggesting her ‘stand-up’ comedy career was over, as she humorously turned the camera towards her wheelchair with a surprised expression.
