Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes recently expressed that a paparazzi photo of herself was ‘inspiring’ as she discussed her weight loss journey, attributing her success to the medication Ozempic.
Bynes, who is 39 years old, has openly shared her experience with using Ozempic. Although it hasn’t been approved in the US for weight loss, Ozempic is intended to manage blood sugar levels and reduce cardiovascular risks in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Despite the existence of FDA-approved medications like Wegovy specifically for weight loss, numerous individuals, including celebrities, opt for Ozempic to help in losing weight.
In October, Bynes revealed on Instagram that she had lost 20 pounds thanks to the medication, and she expressed a desire to continue her weight loss journey after experiencing initial success.

“I’ve lost 20 pounds so far. I’m so excited about that, to be honest. Also, I want to lose about 50 more pounds,” she stated at the time. She continued, “I’m 163 now. I actually shot up on the Ozempic pill, shot up to 180 from 173. So, I was able to lose 20 pounds from 180 and now I’m down to 163 on the Ozempic injection.”
Bynes emphasized the effectiveness of the injection, saying, “I’m really glad I’m on the injection, it’s really working for me.”
Two months later, she provided another update, sharing a paparazzi photo on her Instagram highlights. The image showed her in ripped jeans and a white t-shirt walking down the street.
Along with the image, Bynes explained that she typically dislikes paparazzi shots, but after losing weight, she viewed this particular photo more positively.

She remarked, “I usually don’t like paparazzi pictures because I was 180lbs but now I’ve lost 28lbs on Ozempic! I’m down to 152lbs. I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!”
The original post on Instagram, shared by Just Jared, received a wave of supportive comments for Bynes as she continues to update her followers.
“Loving the look,” one fan stated, while another remarked, “Amanda Bynes will always be my Perfect Celebrity.”
Bynes has previously mentioned that paparazzi photos contributed to her decision to use Ozempic, revealing in an Instagram Story her desire to ‘look better in paparazzi pictures’.
She expressed her hope that ‘you don’t see my double chin from strange angles’.
