New Video Angle from ICE Agent’s Cell Phone Reveals Renee Good’s Last Words

The final words spoken by Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother and poet who was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis, were recorded during the brief moments between her attempting to leave the scene and her tragic death.

Footage taken by the ICE agent involved in the incident captures Good’s last words to the officer before being shot. In the video, Good can be heard saying, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you,” just before the confrontation escalates.

Shortly after, an ICE officer instructs her to exit her Honda Pilot. However, as her car begins to move forward, the situation takes a grave turn. The officer draws his firearm and discharges it into Good’s vehicle, a sequence that has since been broadcast widely.

Contrasting with Good’s calm words, the ICE agent’s response after the shooting includes an expletive, where he refers to her as a ‘f***ing b*tch’ moments after the fatal shot, as her car veers toward the curb.

The footage, which sparked widespread outrage, was quickly disseminated on social media, including from official accounts of the White House. Vice President JD Vance commented on the incident as a ‘tragedy,’ asserting that the officer perceived a threat.

The Department for Homeland Security verified the authenticity of the footage, releasing a statement asserting that Good “was impeding law enforcement and weaponized her vehicle in an attempt to kill or cause bodily harm to federal law enforcement” and that the “officer was in fear of his own life”.

In her tribute to Renee, her wife Becca Good shared with MPR: “Renee was a Christian who knew that all religions teach the same essential truth: we are here to love each other, care for each other, and keep each other safe and whole.”

She also mentioned their protests against ICE in Minneapolis, using whistles as a symbol of their dissent, in contrast to the federal officers’ use of firearms.

Renee leaves behind three children, the youngest being just six years old.

More details will be provided as the story develops.
