Hailey Bieber has addressed speculation regarding a video about ‘abuse’ in her relationship with Justin Bieber.
The founder of Rhode Skin, aged 29, and her 31-year-old husband have been married since 2018 and are parents to their 16-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber.
Recently, there have been ongoing rumors among fans online suggesting potential issues in their marriage. However, Hailey and Justin have consistently shown a united front.
Over the weekend, several TikTok users circulated alleged evidence suggesting Hailey reposted a video discussing ‘abusive’ celebrity couples. This gained traction online on Saturday, January 10, prompting Hailey to swiftly respond to the controversy since the clip mentioned her and the ‘Peaches’ singer.
In an Instagram Story shared with her 55 million followers on the same day, Hailey posted a photo of a drink and commented: “Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship. Have a beautiful Saturday!”
The video in question appears to analyze celebrity couples, suggesting that women may ‘tolerate mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship’.
It remains unclear how this social media user would gather such information about celebrity couples, especially those known for their privacy.
According to People, the social media user stated in the clip: “There is no better example than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber.”
The creator further suggested that the Biebers have remained together only because Hailey ‘will tolerate that abuse’.
Hailey has persistently dismissed rumors about her relationship with Justin. In an interview with Vogue last May, she was questioned about whether she thought the online drama regarding her relationship would soon end. She responded: “Well, I thought seven years in, it would’ve already, and it hasn’t.”
She continued: “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit. But no.”
This followed Justin’s revelation of a disagreement with Hailey about whether she would ever appear on the cover of Vogue.
Earlier this year, Hailey’s comment, ‘Father’s Day Sucks a**,’ on Justin’s post celebrating his first Father’s Day as a dad, sparked further speculation about their relationship.
Although many understood it as a joke between the couple, some interpreted it as a sign of trouble.
Nonetheless, the couple seems to be doing well. In a post shared on November 6, Hailey posted pictures of herself at the beach with friends, apparently celebrating Kendall Jenner’s 30th birthday.
In the caption, Hailey wrote ‘hell yeah,’ while Justin expressed his admiration with a comment, “Oh my f**kin god,” which received a great response from her fans.
