Amanda Bynes shares ‘thrilling’ life update after stepping away from Hollywood, leaving fans eager

Fans are thrilled as Amanda Bynes announces she is embarking on a new project after a challenging 15 years. The former child star is making a comeback with her latest endeavor.

Amanda Bynes, once a young comedy sensation, stepped away from the limelight and her acting career over a decade ago due to mental health struggles. During her early years, Bynes showcased her talent in various roles, performing on stage and screen. She even received guidance from renowned comedians Richard Pryor and Arsenio Hall during a workshop at the Los Angeles Laugh Factory.

Her television debut came with Nickelodeon’s All That sketch show, which eventually led to her own program in 1999, The Amanda Show, at the age of 13, catapulting her to national fame.

However, a decade later, struggles with mental health and substance use led Bynes to step away from a promising film career that included roles in hits like Easy A, Hairspray, and She’s the Man.

Legal issues, including a DUI, resulted in a conservatorship in 2013, managed by her mother, that lasted for a decade. Over time, Bynes demonstrated improvements in her well-being and independence, leading to the termination of the conservatorship in 2023. Bynes was later seen in public sporting a new look.

She has also exhibited her artwork in a public gallery, briefly hosted a podcast, and ventured into becoming an OnlyFans model, emphasizing that her content would remain work-appropriate.

Currently, at 39, Bynes is exploring a new path by working on a song titled ‘Girlfriend’.

She shared this exciting news with her TikTok followers, revealing her plans to record the song with lyrics she penned, though the melody is still in progress.

This initiative follows her recent ventures into music, including releasing songs and remixes, as she studies beauty and cosmetology.

In her recent music projects, Bynes predominantly focuses on rapping, as evident from her 2021 feature on ‘Diamonds’: “Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds on my neck on my wrist/ Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds on my fish all wet.”

Despite no melody yet for ‘Girlfriend’, Bynes’ fans are excited about her new artistic pursuit. One enthusiastically wrote: “Amanda I’m so excited for you girl! and I jus know it’s going to be amazing.”

Another showed eagerness for more content, saying: “We can’t wait to hear it! I love these updates! I’d love long form vlogs too, I would literally watch you talk about anything queen. I hope 2026 is kind to you.”
