Chrissy Teigen reveals why she’s never passed gas in front of John Legend after 12 years of marriage

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have shared nearly two decades together, which is quite a duration to maintain a certain level of mystery.

According to Chrissy, now 40, she has never passed gas or even used the bathroom for a number two in John’s presence throughout their relationship.

The couple’s journey began in 2006 when they met during the filming of John’s music video for ‘Stereo’. They tied the knot in 2013 and are now parents to four children: Luna, nine, Miles, seven, and twins Esti and Wren, both two years old.

Known for being open about their relationship and family experiences, Chrissy recently discussed the idea of ‘preserving the sexy’.

Speaking at a Netflix event, she revealed to E! News: “For all he knows, I have never farted or pooped.”

She continued, “You got to keep the sexy and preserve the sexy in a little bit of ways. I won’t say that John necessarily does that all the time, but I make sure that I do.”

Chrissy has shared her thoughts on this subject before, telling Well+Good: “I think it’s really important to be complete partners in crime.”

She added, “I love the mentality of ‘us against the world.’ Even when you have kids, never forget your relationship as partners and lovers – that’s so important.”

Chrissy emphasized the importance of making an effort to maintain their relationship: “… Sometimes I don’t want to make John feel good and I’m sure he has the same with me, but it’s my keen advice to do it anyway.”

In 2023, the couple celebrated their love by renewing their vows at Lake Como in Italy, with family, friends, and their children in attendance.

Chrissy described the special event at the One Fair Wage Fundraiser, telling E! News about their arrival at the hotel via boat.

“I looked over at him, and he was like, his eyes were like, filled with water,” Chrissy shared. “It was amazing. It was so beautiful.”

Chrissy humorously noted that their kids were less enthused by the romantic display, saying they were ‘disgusted’ and joked: “Everything’s like, [plugs her ears] la-la-la-la-la.”

For the vow renewal, the couple chose to write their own vows. Chrissy explained: “We were like, well, we’re gonna rewrite them and say them because I have a big hang-up that I didn’t write my own vows [at our wedding], because I was so nervous and just insecure and stuff so I didn’t.”

She concluded, “So that’s been like a big regret of mine. So if anything it was a chance to redo it and be with people we love, and it worked.”
