Adult film star Abella Danger apologizes after appearing on TV during football match

An ex-adult film actress has publicly apologized after being caught on camera during a college football championship match earlier this week.

Amirah Day, known professionally as Abella Danger, appeared on national TV while attending the Miami Hurricanes’ game against the Indiana Hoosiers. ESPN cameras captured her in the crowd during this football event.

At 30 years old, Day is currently pursuing a degree at the University of Miami with aspirations of becoming a lawyer. She was shown on television in tears during the intense game on Monday night (January 19), as her team trailed by 10 points with seven minutes remaining.

Although the camera crew likely intended to showcase the emotional experience of the Hurricanes’ fans, some viewers recognized the teary spectator as the former adult film actress due to Danger’s previous career.

In the end, Miami lost the College Football Playoff final by 27-21, adding to Day’s disappointment in the Hurricanes’ defeat.

With some attention diverted from the Hurricanes due to her presence during the crucial playoff match, Day, who retired from the adult film industry in 2020, felt compelled to apologize to the team and its supporters.

As one user humorously noted on X: “Guys across the country watching the game with their wives and having to pretend they had no idea who Abella Danger was when they showed her on TV and their wife asked ‘Who’s that?'”

However, Day’s goal in attending the game was simply to support the Hurricanes, a team she has consistently cheered for as a lifelong Miami resident.

“I would give anything in the world to not have had ESPN film me, and I am so deeply sorry to anyone I offended with my attendance at the game,” Danger expressed to TMZ. “I wish I could be any other student supporting my team.”

She continued, “To feel your own existence is a burden to everyone around you is tough.”

Reflecting positively on her team’s loss, Day shared with her 9.5 million Instagram followers: “Even though we lost, I don’t care. Cuz that game tonight proved that no other team deserved to be in the national versus Miami.”

She further stated: “No other team. Miami deserved that. Everyone counted us out. I don’t care if we lost. Those men out there, they were the best of the best. No one deserved that spot other than Miami.”

Day also addressed her detractors in a Story post, saying: “I was born and raised in Miami. I went to South Miami Middle School five minutes from UM, where we all wore orange and green just like UM.

“I wish I could be like any other student supporting my team.

“To feel your own existence is a burden to everyone around you is tough.”
