A new video interview featuring Jeffrey Epstein has emerged, attracting attention as it becomes part of an extensive collection of documents released by the US Department of Justice, drawing renewed focus on the controversial figure years after his passing.
The footage, previously unseen in its entirety, captures Epstein in a lengthy conversation with an off-camera interviewer.
The discussion covers various topics, including Epstein’s financial status, his perspective on ethics, and his belief that his charitable donations should be considered when evaluating his actions.
In the video, Epstein, a convicted sex offender, challenges the notion that his wealth is morally questionable.
When questioned directly if his wealth is “dirty money,” he answers, “No, it’s not.” Pressed on why, he asserts: “Because I earned it.” He further elaborates that ethics are ‘always a complicated subject,’ mentioning donations he allegedly made to combat polio in Pakistan and India.

During the interview, the interviewer poses a hypothetical scenario, questioning how individuals in severe poverty would react if they knew aid money came from a convicted sex offender. Epstein responds: “I would say everyone said, ‘I want the money for my children.’”
The dialogue turns more serious when Epstein is asked about his criminal designation. In response to the question, ‘What are you, a class three sexual predator?’, he states: “Tier one.” When informed that tier one is ‘the highest and worst,’ Epstein disagrees, saying: “No, I said I’m the lowest.” The interviewer clarifies, ‘But a criminal.’ Epstein briefly confirms: “Yes.”
For reference, a Tier 1 sex offender is described as: “If county prosecutors consider you to be at a relatively low risk of reoffending, it may place you in the Tier 1 category. This means law enforcement agencies receive notification of your sex offender status,” according to NJ Criminal Law Firms.
As the interview progresses, the conversation becomes more intense, with the interviewer using religious imagery to challenge Epstein on his ethical standing. After suggesting that people might accept money even from ‘the devil himself’ to save their children, the interviewer asks: “Do you think you’re the devil himself?”
Epstein responds: “No, but I do have a good mirror.” When asked again, he replies: “I don’t know. Why would you say that?” Before concluding with: “The devil scares me.”
The interview is thought to be one of several lengthy recordings included in the recently released files that had not been viewed before.
