Jimmy Kimmel takes aim at Melania Trump at the Oscars with brutal dig

Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at Melania Trump at the Oscars, referencing the First Lady’s documentary Melania, which came out in January.

“There are also documentaries where you walk around the White House trying on shoes,” the talk show host said while presenting the award for Best Documentary Feature Film.

Kimmel then added:

“Oh man, is he going to be mad his wife wasn’t nominated for this.”

The Amazon-produced film tracks the First Lady during 2025 as she prepared to move back into the White House following Donald Trump’s win in the 2024 presidential election.

“With exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments, Melania showcases Mrs Trump’s return to one of the world’s most powerful roles,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Reports claim Amazon paid $40 million for the behind-the-scenes access. Melania, however, has previously said the project wasn’t solely driven by financial reasons.

“I’m very proud of the film so people may like it, may don’t like it, and that’s their choice,” she told CNN. “We achieved what we want to achieve. For myself, it’s already successful. I’m very proud of what we did.”
