Euphoria is finally back, and the five-year time jump has shocked viewers by revealing what became of the show’s formerly troubled teens.
One of the most hotly debated developments involves Cassie. Sydney Sweeney’s character is now living a suburban life with “toxic heartthrob” Nate (Jacob Elordi) — and she’s also started making content on OnlyFans.
In the newest episode, Cassie’s storyline makes it clear she’ll go to extreme lengths to keep paying subscribers satisfied.
In one moment, she poses topless while holding an ice cream as it melts and runs down her chest.
The clip has left plenty of people surprised by how explicit it feels, but it’s closely linked to a fetish that surged in popularity in the 1980s: sploshing.

Sploshing refers to getting sexual pleasure from wet, messy substances — often food and drink — being poured or smeared over the body.
And for many people into it, it goes well beyond a bit of whipped cream. Some content involves being coated head-to-toe in different edibles, soaking in jelly, or being drenched in syrup and cake.
In other words, it’s the kind of “wet and messy” scenario — sometimes shortened to WAM — that typically ends with a serious clean-up.
Whether or not it appeals to everyone, the kink appears to be spreading online. On TikTok alone, sploshing-related videos have collectively pulled in millions of views.
Those clips range from creators tipping food over themselves to more elaborate setups, like throwing spaghetti, sitting in cake, or pouring coffee over their bodies.
In comments to Metro, sex psychotherapist Gigi Engle said sploshing is generally rooted in the appeal of getting “wet,” with food acting as a common variation.
“Sploshing is a sexual kink or fetish that involves sitting in or spreading around jelly-like or viscous substances,” she explained.
Apparently, “cake sitting” is one of the most popular versions. Engle said common materials include jelly, shaving cream, cakes, icing, and batter — though preferences differ from person to person.

“Cake sitting is very popular on OnlyFans, there are a lot of women who sit in cakes as a part of their content creation,” Engle explained.
“It’s where an attractive woman or fem makes the cake and then does a close-up video of them fully sitting on it and squishing it. It’s very messy, and there’s destruction which can feed into the erotica of it.”
Other frequent favourites include dripping chocolate over someone’s body, as well as sitting in jelly.
As for why sploshing can be so arousing, Engle suggested the sounds can be a major factor — especially the wet, squelching noise as substances are pressed and moved around.
“There’s a tactile element to it where you could like the feel of it on your fingers or body,” she added. “The messiness and wetness can also be a big draw – it’s a very sensory experience.”
