Jaclyn Smith reveals the real reason behind her youthful glow isn’t beauty products or dieting

In Hollywood, age often seems to come with its own set of rules. From Kris Jenner appearing decades younger than her years to Jaclyn Smith still radiating star power at 80, it’s clear the calendar doesn’t always tell the full story.

With cosmetic enhancements like fillers and Botox now mainstream, it’s become easier than ever—particularly for public figures—to maintain a polished, youthful look.

But Jaclyn Smith says her own approach isn’t rooted in products or diet trends. The Charlie’s Angels icon has shared that what keeps her looking and feeling her best has far more to do with lifestyle and the people around her than any beauty routine.

Smith stepped out in New York City last week for the Paley Honors Spring Gala, held in recognition of the series’ 50th anniversary. Joining her for the special night was former co-star Kate Jackson, making the occasion an even more meaningful reunion for longtime fans.

Back in the original run of the show, Smith played Kelly Garrett from 1976 until the series ended in 1981, while Jackson portrayed Sabrina Duncan.

Dressed in a sleek black blazer paired with patterned trousers, Smith was asked by Fox News Digital what she credits for her youthful appearance. Her answer was simple: “Clean living, being loved.”

She went on to emphasize just how much her home life and relationships matter to her: “I have the best family in the whole wide world to grow up with. Great husband, two beautiful children, three granddaughters. So, it doesn’t get better than that. It’s all about love, all about family with me.”

Smith has been married to Dr. Brad Allen since 1997. She’s also a mother to two children, Gaston and Spencer, whom she shares with ex-husband Anthony B. Richmond.

After the gala, Smith marked the occasion on Instagram, posting photos from the evening along with a caption reflecting on the milestone and the nostalgia of reuniting with Jackson: “Hello from The Paley Honors gala in New York! What a treat to celebrate again with my friends from the Paley Center.

“Kate and I were so lucky to attend and accept this on behalf of our Charlie’s Angels family, continuing in our celebration of 50 years since the launch of the series. Grateful doesn’t begin to encompass how I feel to have been and continue to be a part of that legacy.

Thank you to everyone!”

In the comments, fans celebrated seeing Smith and Jackson together again, while many also noted how bittersweet it felt without Farrah Fawcett there with them.

Fawcett—who played Jill Munroe in the original series—died in June 2009 at 62 after battling anal cancer.

Reflecting on her late friend in an interview with PEOPLE 15 years after her death, Smith said: “”Even when her legs were five times their size [from the cancer treatments], she was still the ultimate girlfriend.”
