Heather McComb, who was previously married to actor James Van Der Beek, has remarried—just three months after reports of the actor’s death.
McComb and Van Der Beek finalized their divorce in 2010. The former couple had married in 2003 in a ceremony in Malibu, and it’s been said they first crossed paths through McComb’s sister, Jennifer McComb, who appeared on Dawson’s Creek in the late 1990s.
After the split, McComb went on to find love with Scott Michael Campbell, and the pair exchanged vows over the weekend.
Marking the occasion on Instagram, McComb posted a series of professional photos from their wedding in Missoula, Montana.
Alongside the images, she wrote: “Our hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by. God is so good. Thank you to all of our family and friends who traveled from all over the country to be with us. Thank you Jesus the way maker miracle worker!”

“You all made it so special and a truly magical weekend that we will never forget.”
In the extended caption, the 49-year-old also expressed gratitude to those who helped bring the day together, from the photographer and DJ to the make-up artists. She ended the message by writing: “Thank you for everything.
We love you all!”
Support quickly poured into the comments, with one person writing: “Love everything about this because you don’t have to know any of it to see the love and joy. Congrats.”
Another added: “Congratulations!!! You deserve all the love and beauty this life has to offer!! So happy for you!!”

The wedding took place three months after Van Der Beek was said to have died following a battle with colon cancer, a diagnosis he publicly shared in November 2024.
On February 11, a statement posted on social media announced his death, reading: “Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning. He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace. There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.”
After his divorce from McComb, Van Der Beek later married film producer Kimberly Van Der Beek in 2010.
Together, they share six children: Olivia, 14, Joshua, 12, Annabel, 10, Emilia, 8, Gwen, 6, and Jeremiah, 3.
