Adult film star Lena the Plug has shared a candid admission about why she thinks the industry is ‘way tougher’ on men.
Plenty of people assume adult entertainment places the heaviest burden on women, but Lena Nersesian — widely known online as Lena the Plug — says the pressure on male performers can be even more intense.
Lena is married to YouTuber and podcaster Adam22, who has previously spoken about whether he feels turned on when watching scenes where his wife performs with other men.
The couple are often believed to have an open setup, with Lena sleeping with other men as part of her work.
In a recent VladTV interview, Lena broke down why she thinks porn can be harder for men — and she didn’t mince her words.
“As much as, you know, the job is tough on women, it’s way tougher on the guy. Like, no questions asked. You have to be perfect,” Lena said.
She explained that slipping up doesn’t just affect the performer — it can impact whether he gets hired again and can put everyone on the production in a difficult position.
“And if you’re not perfect, the company might not call you back. Everyone on set does not get paid. It’s like so much pressure.”
The interviewer, taken aback, asked if that really means that if a male performer doesn’t finish, it can hold up payment for the entire set.
“So you were going to tell me that if was a porn producer and I hired a girl and a guy to come in, the girl came in, the dude for two hours, right?” he asked. “And he can’t c*m at the end. The girl gets nothing? She walks away?”
Lena said the key issue is that the scene still has to reach an ending one way or another, because a shoot involves a lot more people than just the two performers.
Lena proceeded to clarify: “Everyone has to wait until there’s a way for the scene to finish. Otherwise, every dollar put into that set that day, from the audio engineer to the photographer, what’s the point?”
She added that productions may look for alternatives to complete the final moment of a scene, even if it requires a different approach.
“I mean, it’s like they find a solution, and whether the solution is a real pop shot or a fake pop shot, something has to be done,” she added.
Lena continued by saying that while there may be options when a performer can’t climax, the situation becomes far more difficult if a male star can’t maintain an erection during filming.
“If they can’t stay hard, then it’s really hard to fix that,” Lena said, “and then you’re at a loss.”
Elsewhere, Adam22 and Lena drew extra attention earlier this year when Adam stepped into the boxing ring against adult performer Jason Luv, who has previously filmed with Lena on two occasions.
Although Lena believed her husband would come out on top, Jason ultimately won by TKO in the opening round.
