Lena the Plug has opened up about the story behind her stage name following news that she has filed for divorce from her husband.
Lena, born Lena Nersesian, submitted divorce paperwork from her husband of three years, Adam22, on her 35th birthday. In the filing, she requested custody of their daughter and asked for the division of a $1.1 million entertainment studio.
Amid the headlines, an older clip of Lena talking with Jason Nash has circulated again, in which she explains how she ended up with the moniker “Lena the Plug.”
Because of her work in adult entertainment, many people have assumed the “plug” part was a direct nod to sexual content, especially given the term’s association with adult-themed activities.
However, Lena said that while the link might seem obvious, it isn’t where the name came from.
Instead, she explained that the origin was tied to a job she had before entering the adult industry—just not in the way most people might expect.

“I wish I could tell it was something really fun and sexy,” Lena told Nash.
She said that at a previous workplace, her boss started calling her “the plug,” not as a risqué reference, but as praise for how dependable she was on the job.
“My old boss called me ‘the plug’ because I was just a very good employee,” Lena said, suggesting it was meant to reflect how “plugged in” she was at work.
Lena added that her last name, Nersesian, is often tricky for people to pronounce, which helped push her toward using “Lena the Plug” publicly—especially across her social media.
From there, she said, the name stuck and became what she’s widely known by today.

Lena has been making headlines after filing for divorce from Adam Grandmaison, best known online as Adam22. In the documents, she stated they have not been together since April 15.
She also alleged in the filing that she lacks access to marital finances and detailed financial information, saying: “I have no access to any financial resources in this marriage or actual financial information, so all amounts entered are estimates.”
The couple were married for three years and collaborated on a podcast. Their work included Lena sleeping with guests, with the content later shared through their OnlyFans accounts.
Adam also created content involving other partners outside their relationship.
One high-profile example mentioned was adult performer Jason Luv. After Lena slept with him, Adam and Jason later went as far as staging a boxing match.
