Rebel Wilson’s Ex Awkwardly Reveals Details From the Night She Lost Her Virginity at 35

Mickey Gooch, Rebel Wilson’s former partner, found himself in an especially uncomfortable spotlight at a New York theatre show over the weekend, when a live performance revisited the story of how the actress lost her virginity at 35.

Wilson first shared the revelation in her 2024 memoir, Rebel Rising, saying that her first sexual experience was with the film producer when she was 35 years old. The memoir also described the night as a meaningful milestone in her life, with the encounter taking place at the Greenwich Hotel in New York.

The story resurfaced on Broadway during a recent edition of Celebrity Autobiography, the long-running comedy production in which actors and comedians perform excerpts from celebrity memoirs for laughs. The show is currently playing at the Shubert Theatre in New York, with Kathy Griffin among the performers in the June 2026 run.

According to reports, Gooch learned only shortly before the show began that he would be part of a reading from Wilson’s now widely discussed passage about their night together. He performed opposite Griffin during the segment, making the moment particularly awkward for the actor and comedian.

Griffin read from the chapter, Late Bloomer, while Gooch remained on stage beside her, reacting in real time as the audience listened to Wilson’s description.

Looking directly at him, she read: “Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes, I lost my virginity to you. And a great sh*g you were.”

She continued with the passage: “I finally had sex. I go to the bathroom, I high-five myself. I’m so happy I finally had sex.

“And with somebody I really like and really feel safe with at the lovely Greenwich Hotel.”

The crowd reportedly erupted with laughter, with Gooch adding his own remarks and jokes throughout the reading.

Reflecting on the unusual experience later, he said: “It was a pretty surreal way to make my Broadway debut.

“I guess I popped my Broadway cherry, literally.”

Wilson and Gooch were together for around six months after being introduced through one of her Pitch Perfect co-stars.

Since that relationship ended, Wilson has gone on to marry fashion designer Ramona Agruma. The pair wed in Sardinia in 2024 and later held a legal ceremony in Sydney.

More recently, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Rose Estelle, on May 4, 2026. Wilson announced the news on Instagram, writing that it was now “the four of us.”

The pair previously welcomed their first daughter, Royce, via surrogate in 2022.
