Netflix’s Biggest Series Debut of 2026 Is Already Dividing Fans

Netflix has kicked off June 2026 with one of its biggest new releases yet, although viewers can’t seem to agree on whether it truly delivers.

The streamer has long been home to titles that spark sharply mixed reactions, especially when they arrive with big-name casts and twist-heavy plotting.

This time, the debate is centered on I Will Find You, Netflix’s latest Harlan Coben adaptation, which has landed on Rotten Tomatoes with a 61 per cent score and quickly divided audiences.

The series is based on Coben’s novel of the same name and is the latest project to emerge from his ongoing Netflix partnership, which has already produced a string of international thrillers for the platform.

Despite the split in opinion, the show has proved to be a major draw. Netflix says I Will Find You is an eight-episode limited series, and Variety reported that it pulled in 24 million views in just its first four days, giving it the platform’s biggest series launch of 2026 so far.

I Will Find You also stands out as Harlan Coben’s first U.S.-scripted Netflix series. The story is set in Boston and New York, with production taking place in Canada.

What’s fuelling the online discussion, though, is not where it was made but whether the story itself works.

The drama follows David Burroughs, a father serving a life sentence for the murder of his son, who is forced to confront the possibility that the child may still be alive.

“A father imprisoned for his son’s murder receives evidence suggesting his child may be alive, compelling him to escape and uncover the truth.”

With Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Erin Richards and Sam Worthington among the cast, the show certainly has recognisable talent on screen.

Even so, audience reactions have varied wildly, with some hailing it as a must-watch and others arguing it never quite rises above average.

After finishing the series, viewers took to X to post very different verdicts.

“I will find you on Netflix is a 10/10 show. So good.”

“I Will Find You on Netflix got me locked in.”

“Whoever said that Netflix series I Will Find You is 1000/10 lied!! Its at most a 7/10…”

“Just finished watching I will find you on Netflix. It’s good but nothing spectacular. A basic and predictable script stuffed with twists to draw interest but the storyline seemed rushed & elementary. No sex scenes or LGBTQ,which is a welcome surprise from Netflix. 6/10.”
