Megan Moroney, 28, cut her Cloud 9 Tour at Denver’s Ball Arena short after just three songs on July 28 due to illness.
The country star performed “Stupid,” “Medicine,” and “Bless Your Heart” before stopping the show.
“This is obviously the last thing I ever want to do, but I am obviously extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better,” Moroney told the crowd.
“I just can’t play this show tonight, but I will make it up to you guys. I absolutely promise I’ll be back.”
Fans responded with encouragement as Moroney fought back tears.
One audience member shouted, “That’s OK Meg, I love you,” as the visibly emotional singer exited the stage.
“I’m typing this is I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all.”
Moroney took to Instagram Stories shortly after leaving the stage.
“That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight,” she wrote.
“I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you tonight.”
The singer had performed nearly every night for two months before this incident.
Moroney joked to fans: “I’m probably going to go cry in my dressing room now.”
“This is like my worst nightmare, and I promise I’ll make it up to you guys like 10 times. I love you, and I’m really sorry.”
Ball Arena confirmed the concert had been canceled because Moroney was feeling under the weather.
“Megan is unable to continue her performance this evening due to illness, and we must end the show at this time. Please allow event staff to direct you to the nearest exit, and we will follow up with more information as soon as we’re able. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

Moroney promised full details about the makeup date soon.
She revealed she will return to Denver on August 27th and tickets will be honored for the new date.
