Rihanna stepped out in New York City on Wednesday night wearing a $2,240 velour tracksuit that reimagined a mid-aughts staple as high fashion.
The Fenty founder, 38, was spotted leaving Pastis, the Meatpacking District bistro, in an orangey tan Chloé zip-up sweater priced at $1,250 and matching wide-leg pants retailing for $990. She accessorized the look with a vintage Fendi crocodile embossed leather handbag in a coordinating caramel hue and rose-tinted Louis Vuitton aviator sunglasses.

The Barbados-born mogul later added a Goyard duffel bag slung across her body as she headed to the airport, trading the bistro scene for travel mode. She completed the outfit with snakeskin sandals that showed off a fresh pedicure in her signature crisp white shade.
“She’s maybe varied from that color on her toes twice,” her manicurist Kimmie Kyees told Elle. “It’s very barefoot, clean, completely neutral, goes-with-everything type of color. It really makes sure feet look clean.”

The “Work” singer has maintained that same white polish for over a decade, according to Kyees, making it one of the rare constants in a wardrobe defined by constant reinvention. The velour tracksuit itself nods to an era when Juicy Couture sets dominated celebrity street style, though Rihanna’s Chloé version carries a luxury price tag far removed from those mall-brand origins.
The night out came after Rihanna spent several weeks home in Barbados with her three children: RZA, 4, Riot, 3, and Rocki, 11 months. During that visit, the family stopped by Rihanna Drive, the street where she grew up that has since been renamed in her honor.
“One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury … the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to ‘Rihanna Drive,'” she captioned snaps from the day on Instagram. “Trippy how life works!”
The “Umbrella” singer currently covers Harper’s Bazaar’s September issue wearing a Dior headpiece, a nod to her latest role as the face of the brand’s J’Adore Intense fragrance. That campaign marks another expansion of her empire beyond Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, which launched in 2017 and 2020 respectively and helped redefine inclusivity in the beauty industry with foundation ranges spanning over 50 shades.
Rihanna’s casual NYC appearance also follows her recent surprise performance at Jay-Z’s 30th anniversary concert in New York, where she joined her mentor onstage for a brief return to live music. She and partner A$AP Rocky, 37, were also spotted at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, where she paired a brown Vetements football jersey with cargo shorts and beige stiletto boots.
