The band issued a statement addressing the tragedy. “Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life,” the group said.

It was not immediately known how the tour bus became involved in the crash. The incident took place during the early morning hours as the band was traveling between tour stops.

Buckcherry had performed most recently at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina. The group was heading toward its next scheduled date when the accident happened.

The band’s lineup includes Josh Todd, Stevie Dacanay, Billy Rowe, Kelly LeMieux and Francis Ruiz. The musicians formed in the late 1990s and broke through to mainstream success in the 2000s with hard-rock hits.

Despite the fatal incident, the band’s scheduled performance in Fort Lauderdale will proceed as planned. No other alterations were made to the tour schedule, reports indicated.

The accident occurred during Buckcherry’s “Roar Like Thunder” tour, which shares its name with the band’s 2025 studio album. The trek has been supporting the new release across multiple dates.

A representative for the band did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
