Sandra Bullock revealed her two children snuck into “Practical Magic 2” as hidden cameos.
The actress, 62, dropped the surprise Monday at the Los Angeles premiere while speaking with Access Hollywood. Louis, 16, and Laila, 12, appear somewhere in the film, though Bullock has not yet told them exactly where. “They’re in the movie, but not in an obvious way to you,” she said. “I can’t wait to show them where it is.”
Bullock adopted both children in her late 40s and raised them with her longtime partner, the late Bryan Randall, who died in August 2023 after a private battle with ALS. She has largely shielded Louis and Laila from public view, making their stealth cameos a rare exception to her fierce privacy rules.
The “Miss Congeniality” star gushed that she is “unbelievably proud” when asked if she felt like a “proud mama” at the premiere. She added that motherhood flipped the script on who influences whom. “What’s amazing is that something happens when you have kids where you stop being the influence on them, and they become the influence on you,” she said.
Bullock described her son as her moral anchor. “My steadfast moral barometer,” she called Louis. “I’m always like, ‘What would Louis do?'” For forward-thinking instincts, she turns to her daughter. “When it comes to spotting things and thinking forward, it’s [Laila],” she continued. “They’re so completely different, yet they give me two halves of a whole. … It’s amazing.”
The actress debuted fresh ink honoring both children at the London premiere on Aug. 26. The outlet Style confirmed the tattoo on her left shoulder — featuring the letters “L” and “B” alongside the number “2” — pays tribute to Louis and Laila.
Bullock broke her Instagram silence specifically to tease the long-awaited sequel, in which she reprises her role as Sally Owens opposite Nicole Kidman. She had previously shared rare glimpses of her kids on the platform, including last month when she posted a summer roundup captioned “Friends, family, fun, fishies, furries, aaaand work.” One photo showed Louis and Laila walking down a road with their backs to the camera.
“Practical Magic 2” hits theaters Sept. 10.
