Kroy Biermann surfaced at church Sunday alongside Jillian Green, his first public appearance since his teenage son’s bond was granted.
Biermann, 41, who marked his birthday the day before the service, looked composed as he talked with Green near his vehicle outside the Alpharetta, Georgia, church. The pair have been repeatedly spotted together in recent months, first on a hike in May and again in July when paparazzi captured them kissing.
Green was previously married to Kyle Mowitz, who is currently dating Biermann’s estranged wife, Kim Zolciak. The overlapping romantic connections have fueled tabloid interest as both couples navigate their own entanglements.
Zolciak, 47, had already taken a swipe at Biermann’s new companionship before their son’s legal troubles exploded into public view. “I’ve provided for Kroy for 10 years, so I’m sure he just wants another [provider],” she said.
The former spouses have apparently paused their contentious divorce proceedings to present a united front for their son KJ, 15, who faces grave charges in Fulton County. They arrived separately at Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta last Friday, with an eyewitness describing Kroy as “stressed” inside the courtroom while Zolciak sat “stone-faced” beside her eldest daughter, Brielle.
Ahead of the hearing, both parents appeared visibly shaken. An eyewitness said that Zolciak was “walking at a hurried pace” and seemed “hectic and scattered” around her home. Kroy, spotted driving back to his residence Wednesday, looked “devastated.”
“You could see it in his eyes. He seemed to be in a very somber mood,” the insider said. “It is what you would expect with the week they’re having and the stakes if KJ doesn’t get bonded out of jail.”
During the proceeding, a victim statement was read aloud urging the judge to weigh her safety before releasing KJ. She had been “living in fear,” and the thought of his release “scares [her] more than [she] can put into words.”
Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy also told the court that investigators had previously found multiple videos on KJ’s phone showing him having sex with a female family member under 12. McGillicuddy said KJ had been under court supervision since October 2025 following that alleged incident, which was reported in April 2023.
KJ’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, pushed back hard after the hearing. “Characterizations made in court regarding the prior juvenile matter … grossly misrepresent both the facts and the ultimate resolution of that case,” he said.
“It did not result in an adjudication for statutory rape, sexual intercourse, or any comparable offense,” Sheffield added.
Despite the judge granting $200,000 bond Friday, it remained unclear whether KJ had actually left custody. If released, he must stay at his mother’s home, attend school virtually, abandon social media and cellphones, and avoid any contact with the alleged victim, her family, her associates, or anyone 16 or younger.
The teen’s current legal nightmare began with an Aug. 17 arrest for allegedly assaulting a female classmate inside a co-ed sauna at a Life Time Fitness center in April, according to Fulton County Juvenile Court filings. A Georgia grand jury officially indicted him Sept. 3 on seven counts: aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment, and three additional counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16.
Zolciak spoke out the day of KJ’s arrest through a representative, calling the allegations “reckless and deeply troubling.” The rep stated, “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”
“We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations,” the statement concluded.
The family saga stretches back years. Kroy and Zolciak married in November 2011, six months after KJ was born, and added three more children together: Kash, now 14, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. Kroy adopted Zolciak’s older daughters, Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24, in July 2013. Zolciak filed for divorce in May 2023, the couple dismissed it two months later, then Kroy filed again in August 2023 and the proceedings have dragged on since.
Amid everything, Kroy faces his own financial headache: he was ordered to pay $64,000 over an unpaid gambling debt tied to a November 2021 trip to the Bahamas.
Kroy had briefly emerged once before this weekend, picking up Kash from football practice on Aug. 23, his first sighting since KJ’s arrest.
