Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are engaged and living together after finding romance in the wake of their respective divorces from “GMA3” stars Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.
Shue, 59, the former “Melrose Place” actor, and Fiebig, 49, an attorney, have built what sources describe as a genuinely happy partnership. They went public with their relationship on a red carpet in December 2024 and announced their engagement on October 21, revealing the proposal had actually taken place months earlier in the spring.
“They’re all cordial and friendly because they have to be for Sabine,” a source said, referring to Holmes and Fiebig’s 13-year-old daughter. “But that’s really it.”
The insider painted a warm picture of the couple, noting that “Andrew and Marilee are such nice people” who are “so happy and in love.” The source added that their gentle natures make conflict nearly impossible: “They’re very much alike. They’re both so kind and sweet, so there couldn’t be bad blood if they tried. They’re just very happy it ended up working out.”

Shue himself opened up about his emotional journey when the engagement became public. “I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending,” he said.
“I had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me and in not understanding myself well enough and not understanding what matters in a relationship well enough to find the right person for me, and that has been an extraordinary gift,” he continued.

The intertwined romantic histories trace back to two marriages that both began in 2010. Robach and Shue wed that year and finalized their divorce in March 2023. Holmes and Fiebig also married in 2010, with their divorce becoming final in October 2023. The former couple share daughter Sabine.

Robach, 53, and Holmes, 49, became the subject of intense scrutiny in November 2022 when they were photographed looking close outside the “Good Morning America” studios in New York. Both were still legally married at the time, though they denied any infidelity had occurred. Sources said the pair had been involved in a months-long affair before leaving their spouses. ABC launched an internal investigation that December and removed both from their on-air roles on “GMA3.” By January 2023, the network confirmed the show would continue without them.

Robach and Holmes got engaged in September 2025 and married in a small ceremony in Arkansas on September 19. Their former “GMA” colleagues did not attend the wedding, according to reports.
Through the dissolution of their first marriages, Shue and Fiebig connected and eventually moved in together. Their relationship has now progressed to an engagement that stands as the latest twist in one of daytime television’s most complicated romantic entanglements.

Despite the overlapping histories, the dynamic between the two couples remains functional rather than warm. The source emphasized that any friendliness serves the practical purpose of co-parenting Sabine rather than reflecting genuine closeness between the former spouses and their new partners.

Shue and Fiebig have not announced a wedding date.
