Savannah Chrisley is defending her whirlwind romance with convicted fraudster Jason Galanis.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star, 27, revealed Tuesday on Instagram that she is pregnant and engaged to Galanis, 56, a man she met just last summer and who proposed during a December 2025 vacation in the Cayman Islands. She originally shielded his identity in her social media announcement, referring to him only as “J,” but his name was quickly uncovered by other outlets.
On her podcast, Chrisley recounted the moment he presented her with the ring. “And when he gave me the ring, he was like, ‘Before I open this, I just want you to know that this is just an expression of love to you. This can be whatever you want it to be. This can be an engagement ring, a promise ring, a cocktail ring for all I care. I just want you to know how much I love you.'”
She continued, “The ring is insane and it’s everything I ever wanted.”

The oval-cut center stone alone is estimated at 15 to 18 carats, flanked by half-moon diamonds of roughly 2 carats each on either side, all set in rose gold with a pavé shank. Ajay Anand, CEO and founder of Rare Carat, assessed the piece for the outlet Style. “I would estimate the center stone to be easily 15-18 carats in size,” he said, adding that the side stones appear to be about 2 carats each.
Anand continued, “Assuming this is a high-quality natural diamond, potentially even D Flawless, I would estimate the ring’s retail value to be upwards of $1.5 million, potentially significantly higher depending on its exact specifications and certification.”
Chrisley also displayed a matching eternity band featuring prong-set oval-cut diamonds in rose gold.

The engagement has drawn scrutiny due to Galanis’s criminal history and the couple’s 29-year age gap. Galanis was convicted for running multiple financial fraud schemes and served prison time alongside Chrisley’s father, Todd Chrisley. President Trump later commuted Galanis’s sentence while pardoning Todd Chrisley, wiping out his unpaid restitution.

In her Instagram post, Chrisley described her fiancé as “my protector. My fiercest fighter. My most loyal person. My lover. My safe place,” She wrote, “I’ve prayed for this life. I’ve cried for this life.”

The reality star has since pushed back against criticism of both her partner and their age difference. She hard-launched Galanis on Instagram despite what she called “brutal” backlash, dismissing negative commentary as she prepares for both marriage and motherhood.
The couple’s courtship moved rapidly by any measure. They met last summer, and Galanis proposed just five months into their relationship while the pair were vacationing in the Cayman Islands.

Galanis had attempted to keep the proposal low-pressure, telling Chrisley the ring could represent anything she wished. She ultimately accepted it as an engagement ring, and the two now plan to wed in May 2027.
The jewelry was crafted by Nicole Genovese of Genovese Jewelers, who posted a closer look at the design on social media after the announcement.
Chrisley and Galanis plan to make it official in May 2027.
