Tyler Baltierra is speaking out after fans fixated on his tight Halloween costume.
The “Teen Mom” star, 32, posted family photos on Instagram Sunday showing him dressed as DC superhero Nightwing in skintight leather pants that drew widespread commentary. His wife Catelynn Lowell, 32, and their three daughters — Nova, 11, Vaeda, 7, and Rya, 5 — joined him for the holiday, with Lowell and Rya in matching witch costumes while Vaeda went as Pennywise and Nova dressed as Stick Man.
Baltierra captioned the carousel of images, “🎃👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN from The Baltierra’s! 👻🎃..”
Commenters quickly zeroed in on his physique rather than the family moment. “Tyler … you packing some meat ain’t you buddy?! Lol,” one wrote. Another added, “Why do my eyes gravitate towards it? It’s like, ‘Hey, look at me. I’m just hanging out down here.'”
The reactions kept coming. “Trick or MEAT 😮,” a third quipped, while a fourth admitted, “Okay sorry … You and your family look gorgeous 😂, but girl, I tried not to stare.”
Not everyone joined the pile-on. One fan pushed back, saying commenters were “weird for pointing that out when he’s just trying to be a good dad and dress up [with] his kids and wife.” Another defender wrote, “If a man were to make the same comments y’all are making, he would be canceled and dragged through the mud! Yet here are all these ‘women’ in the comments sexually harassing him.”
That same supporter continued, “I’m so sorry, @tylerbaltierramtv that your precious FAMILY photo has been defiled by these disgusting comments. Please know that we aren’t all like this!”
This is hardly the first time Baltierra has shared revealing photos and faced scrutiny. In 2024, he posted a workout progress picture covering his groin with a blushing smiley face emoji, prompting similar debate.
He defended that post directly on Instagram, writing, “Just so everyone is aware, my wife @CatelynnMTV fully endorses me posting my workout progress lol. She’s proud of me,” He continued, “IDK what the difference is between every other guy/fitness influencer posting their progress & me (besides them all looking a lot better & being in an uncovered speedo) but that’s about it! I even covered myself with a funny emoji. Like come on guys, let loose a little.”
Baltierra and Lowell became public figures as teenagers on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” in 2009, when they welcomed their first daughter Carly and placed her for adoption. The couple, who married in 2015, have maintained occasional contact with Carly while raising their three younger daughters. Their relationship and family life has played out across multiple MTV franchises for over a decade.
