Kim Kardashian is brushing off her bar exam failure with defiant pride.
The reality star, 46, fired back at critics Monday night at the New York Season 2 premiere of “All’s Fair,” saying exclusively that she feels no embarrassment about coming up short on the California Bar Exam.
“I never really get embarrassed,” she said. “I think it’s embarrassing for people that don’t try to study for the bar that would ever put me in an embarrassing situation.”

Kardashian, who was resplendent in an Ashi Studio gown at the event, added that she’s trying her “hardest and learning so much.” She was joined on the carpet by co-stars Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, and Niecy Nash.
Despite that effort, she won’t be retaking the test anytime soon. The outlet exclusively reported that Kardashian is taking a break and won’t attempt the bar again until 2027.
“Most people who take the Bar Exam dedicate months leading up to the test and focus all their energy on preparing,” an insider explained. “But she is working nonstop as a single mom and trying to do it all.”

The California Bar Exam is a grueling two-day test comprising 200 multiple-choice questions, five one-hour essays, and one 90-minute Performance Test.

Kardashian’s legal journey began after she helped secure the release of Alice Marie Johnson, who had been serving life in prison. In a 2019 interview with Vogue, the Skims founder said she was inspired to become a lawyer after “seeing a really good result” with Johnson, whom she helped free the year prior.
She previously failed California’s “baby bar” three times before finally passing on her fourth attempt in 2021.

On Monday, Kardashian acknowledged she had hoped to clear the full bar before cameras rolled on “All’s Fair,” the Ryan Murphy co-created Hulu series in which she plays a divorce lawyer.
“When Ryan and I sat down at the beginning, we said, ‘How cool would it be to play a lawyer on TV and play one in real life?'” she said.
She maintained she will “never give up on that dream.”

“I’d love to partner the two. I hope it happens while the show is still happening, so fingers crossed, prayers up!” she continued.

Then she aimed one last volley at her doubters.
“Even if the outcome isn’t what other people would want, I know more than all of them combined because I know the law! So I’m proud of that, I’m proud of that.”

Kardashian’s path to the bar has been unconventional from the start. Rather than attending law school, she has pursued apprenticeship study permitted in California, combining hands-on legal work with academic preparation while building her Skims empire and filming her family’s reality series.

The “Kardashians” star’s determination to keep studying despite the setback mirrors her previous baby bar struggles, where persistence eventually paid off after multiple attempts.
Season 2 of “All’s Fair” premieres Thursday on Hulu.
