Why Miranda Kerr Ultimately Said No After ‘Seriously Considering’ Walking in the VS Fashion Show

Miranda Kerr has revealed why she turned down the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after serious consideration.

The Australian supermodel, 43, explained her decision during Tuesday’s episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, disclosing that she had wrestled with whether to return to the lingerie runway she last walked in 2012. Kerr said she ultimately relied on meditation to guide her choice, and her body delivered a clear answer.

“I got, like, this knot in my stomach, and as much as I try to meditate and ease it, it was still there,” she shared on the podcast. “The only way I could resolve that is to say, ‘OK, you’re not going to do the show. How do you feel now?'”

Kerr said she immediately felt at peace, which confirmed she had made the right call — even though people on her team had pushed her to participate.

The mother of four broke down her practical concerns in plain terms. “Everyone’s in their underwear,” she pointed out. “I’m 43. I have four boys.”

Despite her absence from last month’s spectacle, Kerr emphasized that she harbors no negativity toward the brand that helped make her famous. She walked the Victoria’s Secret show six times beginning in 2006, becoming one of its most recognizable faces.

“What an honor to be asked to walk back as a 43-year-old mother of four, like I feel very humbled and honored that they would even want me,” she marveled on the podcast.

Kerr’s perspective has shifted dramatically since her modeling peak. “It also feels like that was then and this is now, and I’m at a different stage in my life,” she noted during the interview.

The anxiety she felt about Victoria’s Secret stood in contrast to her experience just one month earlier. In September, Kerr made a surprise return to the runway for Stella McCartney, marking her first fashion show appearance in nearly a decade. She told podcast host Amanda Hirsch that the nerves before that show felt different — manageable rather than gut-level wrong.

Kerr’s family life has transformed since her Victoria’s Secret days. She shares 15-year-old Flynn with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, while her three younger sons — Hart, 8, Myles, 7, and Pierre, 2 — are with husband Evan Spiegel, the Snapchat co-founder she married in 2017.

Her professional focus has shifted too. These days, Kerr dedicates most of her energy to Kora Organics, the skincare line she founded, alongside raising her four boys.

The Stella McCartney appearance had hinted at a broader runway comeback that never fully materialized. Kerr’s last Victoria’s Secret walk came twelve years ago, well before her second marriage or the birth of her younger children.

She reflected warmly on her history with the brand, noting she holds “beautiful memories” of her time in the shows. The invitation itself, she made clear, represented validation she did not take lightly.

Kerr is expected to continue promoting Kora Organics while managing her blended family.
