Christine Park had a plan when she started posting photos of her dog Tonkey on Instagram. “Post photo of cute dog, cute dog attracts good-looking friends, good-looking friends want to hang out with me.”
But what she didn’t anticipate was the meteoric rise of Tonkey’s fame.
We’re not at all surprised though — just look at this bear-like creature. What’s not to love?
Tonkey is a bearcoat Shar Pei, which explains her distinctly unique look.
She lives in Alberta, Canada, with her human family and sister Maxi.
Although it’s easy to mistake her for a bear, she’s 100% dog, as evidenced by all the doggie things she gets up to.

And if you’re still unconvinced, just think that Petsmart is unlikely to let a bear in through its doors, let alone ride around in a shopping cart.
Ditto with IKEA.
This bear-dog has a multitude of impressive talents.
She’s an expert at sneaking around.
She can play catch like a champ.
And run up the stairs with the best of ‘em.
But what she does best is looking insanely cute.
