We present to you: fart-filtering jeans.
A product of UK-based Shreddies, these revolutionary trousers are part of their ‘Flatulence’ line, which also includes a variety of underwear and pyjamas for both men and women.
Shreddies uses a flatulence-filtering system that features “a Zorflex-activated carbon back panel that absorbs all flatulence odours.”
Basically, the odor is trapped and subsequently neutralized by the highly porous cloth. Simply washing the garment reactivates the carbon, so it can filter foul-smelling emissions another day.
Research published in The American Journal of Gastroenterology confirms that wearing activated carbon garments is the most effective method of eliminating odors that are produced by flatulence, so this technology is actually sound (no pun intended).
