Burning Man 2015: Here’s What You’re Missing At The Most Awesome Festival On The Planet

Burning Man 2015 officially started on Sunday. It’s arguably the most awesome and unique festival on the planet, with more than 70,000 people expected to turn up this year.

Burning Man is held in the middle of the dusty Nevada desert. The campsite stretches for miles in a massive semi-circle, where residents will live and party for seven days in a celebration of alternative living.

The website describes it as “an annual art event and temporary community based on radical self expression and self-reliance in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada.”

During the day, attendees bike around and check out the beautiful art installations.

Then, as the sun goes down, the lights of Black Rock City come up and the beat of the music keeps people awake until well into the following day.

Burning Man has its own cinema, clubs, places of worship, bus service and even an airport.

The festival is famous for encouraging self-expression, particularly through clothing, which some people take very seriously.

At the end of the festival, this beautiful city is completely dismantled and burned away.
