16th Century Chapel Transformed Into Starry Night Sky By Parisian Artist

In his latest digital projection artwork, artist Miguel Chevalier filled a historic chapel in Cambridge, UK, with stunning illuminations of the solar system.

Designed specially to complement the interior of the world-famous chapel at King’s College, the lights emphasized the extraordinary architecture of the building (which is worth seeing even without the light show).

For each speaker at the University of Cambridge’s charity event, Chevalier’s projections filled the Gothic chapel with a hypnotizing lightshow complementing the speaker’s topic.

The event was called “Dear World… Yours, Cambridge,” and explored the university’s impact on the planet and how it could address critical global challenges.

Speakers included English naturalist Sir David Attenborough and a surprise visit from the great physicist Stephen Hawking.

“To illustrate the research Stephen Hawking on black holes, Miguel Chevalier has created an immersive environment composed of thousands of constellations that bring visitors face [to face with] the mysteries of the universe,” Chevalier writes.

“Each of the projections [creates] a magical and poetic atmosphere where science meets spirituality.”

Brain, melted.

Incredible.
