Do These Photos Stress You Out? Find Out Why

These pictures are not for the faint hearted, or those who have OCD.

For Kinfolk Magazine’s recent Adrenaline Issue, photographer Aaron Tilley and Director Kyle Bean were asked to recreate that awful moment when something terrible is just about to happen.

The resulting pictures were designed to make the viewer anxious and uncomfortable — and invoke the feeling of anticipation you get when something bad is just about to happen.

That anticipation causes the body to release adrenaline, even if nothing actually happens.

It’s this reaction that drives the fight-or-flight response that was so essential for the survival of our early ancestors.

Feeling uncomfortable yet?

We thought so.
