Photographer Daisy Gilardini waited two weeks to snap a female polar bear with her newborn cub. After 117 hours, she was treated to this adorably lazy bear climbing on its mom’s behind for a lift.
Polar bears spend up to three months in their dens with new cubs before emerging to forage for a well-deserved breakfast.
But this little bear didn’t fancy marching about in the snow for hours and had a beary sneaky trick up his sleeve.
It wasn’t exactly graceful and a few mini-faceplants happened.
It probably took more effort climbing up than walking would have but that’s bear logic for you.
But while mom was hunting for tasty snacks, this cheeky cub rested his tired paws on mom’s furry bum.
She doesn’t seem to mind.
Daisy didn’t even mind that all her hard work resulted in such hilarious photos: “Witnessing something so rare is simply priceless,” she said.
