Amy Schumer shared a surprising detail about her sex life during a podcast interview earlier this year.
The comedian and actor is known for being candid about her day-to-day experiences, from life on tour to more intimate family updates she posts online.
Back in January, Schumer appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast and opened up about what she described as “the craziest interaction” she’s had with a fan — someone she said was also a notable athlete.
According to Schumer, the unnamed sports star carried out a sex act before the encounter ended abruptly because she said she was “tired.” She also noted the situation occurred more than once.
Speaking on the podcast, Schumer said: “I’ve never said this anywhere, but when I was at sort of, kind of my peak, touring arenas, whatever, and I’ll say it… were they a professional athlete? Sure.
“Did I text them late at night and they came over, went down on me and then I said, ‘I’m so tired, I’m so sorry,’ and they left? Yes.
“And you know who you are.”
Schumer confirmed the athlete played baseball, but she didn’t name who it was. She also suggested that even though the moment ended sooner than expected, he handled it well.
She later admitted the scenario played out multiple times and said she wasn’t proud of it.
Schumer added: “You wanna be a giving lover, whatever whatever. But at this moment it was like, you know, some people will blow a guy and that’s the end of the night. So I kind of did it my way, to quote Frank Sinatra.”
She didn’t specify when these encounters took place, but indicated they happened before 2015, as she said the experience later helped shape a moment in Trainwreck.
Schumer added: “He went down on me and then I yawned and was like [I’m tired], that’s a moment in Trainwreck that’s from real life.
“That’s not the most popular move that gets the best response, but that’s the truth. That’s happened probably three times in my life when I was in my heyday, one of them was furious and one of them was totally fine with it. And the baseball player was kinda cool about it.”
Schumer also noted that her sex life looks very different now. She recently said she and her husband, Chris Fischer, have sex three times a year — on their wedding anniversary (February 13) and on each of their birthdays.
