Cabrillo College’s Tasha Sturm was able to create this amazing handprint of the germs found on her 8-year-old son’s hand after playing outdoors.
She created this masterpiece using sterile Kirby Bauer plates and some Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) solution.
As beautiful as it may look, the print represents the growth of various bacteria, fungi, and yeasts after being allowed to incubate in the petri dish for several days.
Ewww. Indeed, this is the kind of beauty that you really, really, really don’t want on your hands.
