Some little girls might beg their parents for a pony or a puppy, but 5-year old Kylie Brown has found her furry best friend forever in Snowflake the duck.

The Brown family decided to take Snowflake back to their North Carolina home after the instant bond formed between Kylie and the tiny duckling.
“This little yellow furball is squawking in a box and Kylie walked over and leaned in and it was quiet,” said Kylie’s mom.
“Everywhere she went, he was quiet. And if she went missing, he would squawk and panic.”
Now Snowflake, named when he was “zero years old” by Frozen-fan Kylie, follows the youngster wherever she goes.
“In his eyes, she’s mama. She’s mama duck.”
“I’ve seen [Kylie] grow up, she’s become very responsible and takes very good care of him.”
They even take their afternoon nap together.
Gerbils and dogs have come and gone, but Kylie’s adoring duck has stayed by her side.
