Brandi Glanville is threatening to cut into her own face after doctors detected living parasites during an ultrasound.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 53, revealed the alarming finding in an Instagram Reel on Monday, posting disturbing footage from the examination while hooked up to IV tubes in bed. Glanville explained that an MRI had already identified issues confined to the left side of her face, but her physician ordered additional imaging that yielded far more shocking results.
“We did the ultrasound in the doctor’s office and the technician said that there was something alive in my face and that it was moving and she’d never seen anything like it,” Glanville recounted in the video. “Then the radiologist agreed.”
The reality star’s desperation escalated from there. She delivered a stark ultimatum to her followers about her next steps, declaring, “So if I don’t find a doctor to cut this out of my face, I’m just gonna do it myself.”
Glanville’s daily existence has become dominated by medical interventions. She undergoes 18 hours of IV infusions every single day, she revealed on Sunday, leaving her house only to record her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast. During Monday’s Reel, she noted she still had 40 minutes remaining on a four-hour IV infusion before facing an overnight antibiotic drip.
The physical toll has been severe. Over the weekend, Glanville addressed her visibly diminished frame with raw candor about how the treatments have destroyed her appetite and appearance.
“I know I’m so skinny right now,” she said. “I can’t eat because the IVs that I do decrease my food. I feel like death, I look like death.”
She elaborated on her isolation in a follow-up remark, stating, “So now I have to start my IVs, I mean I’m on IVs almost 20 hours a day. The only time I leave my house is to do my podcast.”
Glanville maintains that parasites are the root cause of her entire health collapse, a theory that has evolved through multiple diagnoses over roughly three years. The former Bravo personality has sunk six figures into medical costs during that period. Back in June, she announced on her podcast that doctors had identified a benign tumor in one of her facial lymph nodes, which she speculated “could be why the fluid is going around my face.”
The reality star’s relationship with Bravo has been contentious throughout her ordeal. She initially went public with her facial disfigurement in 2024, directly blaming the network for what she characterized as stress-induced health problems. Months afterward, she shifted to the parasite explanation, describing at that time an organism that “jumps around” her face.
Her emotional state has deteriorated alongside her physical condition. In recent social media posts, Glanville has described herself as being in “deep depression” over what she calls her “disgusting” face, telling followers she looks like a “crackhead” and pleading that she needs her life to change.
Glanville first gained national attention as a cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” beginning in 2011, building a reputation for unfiltered commentary that has carried over into her podcasting career and social media presence. Her willingness to broadcast intimate and unsettling medical details continues that pattern, even as her health circumstances have grown increasingly grave.
The ultrasound technician’s astonishment at what she witnessed underscores the rarity of Glanville’s presentation. Having both the technician and the supervising radiologist confirm they had never encountered similar findings left the reality star facing a medical mystery with no clear treatment pathway.
