Brandi Glanville is scheduled to undergo facial surgery Friday to remove parasites from beneath her skin.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, revealed on Thursday’s episode of her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast that Dr. Carlo Henrado will perform what she described as an exploratory procedure involving a “power wash” under her skin. Glanville told co-host James Maas that the doctor had identified two concerning spots beneath her facial skin.
“Dr. Carlo Henrado is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin,” Glanville said on the podcast. She added that the doctor believes the spots could be “fungal balls or something alive.”
“I think it’s alive, personally, because it moves when it wants,” she continued.
Glanville expressed mixed emotions about the upcoming procedure, noting she is “super excited” but also “scared to death” since she has “never had facial surgery” before. She elaborated on the surgical approach during the podcast episode, explaining that the doctor would use multiple techniques during the operation.
“He’s, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s–t. And then he’s spinning my blood and doing this platelet thing on the inside of my face,” she said. She then joked: “We might not want my blood at this point.”

The surgery follows months of health complications that Glanville has documented publicly. Earlier this year, she said that she initially believed her symptoms stemmed from ruptured breast implants she had carried for nearly two decades, with leaking silicone that she claimed had clogged her lymph nodes.
“I was shocked, because they’re implants that I’ve had for almost 20 years, they looked fine, they felt fine, the mammogram said they were fine, it wasn’t until I had a sonogram,” she said in the interview. “You really should change your breast implants every 10 years, and I just didn’t do it.”
“I thought, if it’s not broke don’t fix it, but I learnt a really, really hard lesson. We’re taking care of the face now that we finally figured out what was wrong,” she added.
Glanville later received a diagnosis of a benign facial tumor located in one of her facial lymph nodes, which she said had been present for years. She addressed speculation about cosmetic procedures during a June podcast episode, exclaiming: “I haven’t had a face lift yet!”
Last month, Glanville disclosed a cascade of additional diagnoses including highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis. She has been open about her health struggles across multiple platforms, using her podcast and media appearances to detail her medical journey as she sought answers for her deteriorating condition.

The upcoming Friday procedure represents the latest attempt to address the underlying issues that have affected her face, which she previously said had begun to “sink” due to the parasitic condition. Dr. Henrado’s exploratory approach aims to identify and remove whatever is living beneath her skin, whether fungal growths or active parasites.
Glanville’s health saga began unfolding publicly when she connected her breast implant complications to broader systemic issues, eventually leading to the discovery of the facial tumor and subsequent parasite diagnosis. Her willingness to discuss intimate medical details has drawn significant attention, with her descriptions of moving parasites and extensive surgical plans generating particular interest among followers of her podcast and social media channels.
Glanville continues hosting Brandi Glanville Unfiltered through her health challenges.
