Britney Spears’ son has addressed the online conspiracy theories about his mother and made his view crystal clear.
Jayden James Federline, 19, who Spears shares with former husband Kevin Federline, recently appeared on a TikTok livestream where he responded to questions from viewers and pushed back on rumors swirling around the pop star.
The so-called ‘clone theory’ about Spears, despite having no credible basis, has circulated online for years, often resurfacing whenever she posts dancing videos or other clips on Instagram. Some social media users have pointed to what they describe as differences in her appearance, voice, or movement to support the baseless claim that Britney had been replaced by a clone.
Jayden has now publicly dismissed that idea.
A fan asked whether he thinks it is ‘silly’ when people spread rumors about him and his family, including the claims tied to the ‘clone theories’.
“I hop on TikTok and I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, ‘The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?’” the 19-year-old said during a livestream.
“Like, bro, you can go to her page and see her right now. Are you guys tweaking?” he questioned.
He also said he believes much of what circulates on social media gets exaggerated or taken at face value.
“People know how gullible people are, and they use that to their advantage,” he claimed. “If it has a lot of likes, they believe it.”
Jayden went on to argue that many people accept things they read online without taking the time to verify them first.
Spears and Kevin Federline were married from 2004 until 2007 and had two sons during their relationship. Following the singer’s well-documented personal struggles, Federline was awarded full custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston in 2008.
On Christmas Day in 2024, Spears shared that she had reunited with Jayden after a long period apart, saying it was the first time they had seen each other in two years.
“Best Christmas of my life!!! I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!!” she captioned an Instagram post with her son.
“Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!! I’m speechless thank you Jesus!!!”
Recent appearances suggest their bond has improved significantly. In late June, Jayden and his older brother, Sean Preston, made their runway debut together at Paris Fashion Week, walking in Vetements’ Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show. Jayden later said Spears was “so nervous” for them before the appearance.
