Jax Taylor Demands $17K Monthly Spousal Support From Ex Brittany Cartwright, Claims Abuse Allegations Ruined His Career

Jax Taylor is demanding $17,000 a month in spousal support from Brittany Cartwright.

The ousted “Valley” star, 47, made the request in a court filing obtained Friday, more than two years into the former couple’s contentious divorce battle. Taylor, 47, claims Cartwright’s public abuse allegations “sabotag[ed] his employability” and left him financially devastated.

His attorney said in a statement that his client “would be able to return to gainful employment, at the top of his game, were it not for Brittany’s actions.” The lawyer continued, “The effects of Brittany’s campaign against Jax have been emotionally and financially devastating.”

The court documents listed Taylor’s average monthly income as $30,334 from his work as an “actor, reality star, television personality and podcast creator,” against estimated monthly expenses of $28,944. Meanwhile, Cartwright’s company was estimated to have grossed more than $630,000 between January and May alone.

Taylor’s lawyer alleged in the filing that the financial “disparity is directly due to Brittany’s documented campaign, commencing in or about early 2026, to wreak havoc on Jax’s public image and sabotage his ability to continue his career in the entertainment industry and earn an income.”

Cartwright, 37, separated from Taylor in early 2024 after five years of marriage and filed for divorce that August. The “Vanderpump Rules” alums reached a custody agreement in March regarding their 5-year-old son, Cruz.

Per the settlement, Taylor has custody of Cruz Wednesday nights and every other weekend, while Cartwright has their son the remainder of the time. The exes share joint legal custody, though Cartwright holds tie-breaking authority over medical decisions.

The custody arrangement came after a turbulent period in which Cartwright filed for a temporary protective order against Taylor in August. In her declaration, she detailed years of alleged abuse, including claims that Taylor once threatened to “gut [her] like a f–king fish” and “f–king kill” her.

Taylor subsequently filed for his own restraining order against Cartwright, accusing her of getting him fired from “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” and leaving him with “no employment and no employment prospects.”

The former couple’s relationship began in 2015, with the pair getting engaged in 2018 and marrying in 2019. Their romance played out across multiple Bravo series, including “Vanderpump Rules” and the spinoff “The Valley,” from which Taylor was later removed.

Taylor is currently dating Lori Krebs, who had served as the couple’s longtime publicist. Cartwright has since fired Krebs from that role.

Cartwright’s lawyer did not immediately respond to the outlet’s request for comment on the spousal support filing.
