Britney Spears is hoping to be the “best mommy” as both her sons mark milestone birthdays.
The “Toxic” singer, 44, took to Instagram over the weekend with separate tributes for Jayden James, who turned 20 on Saturday, and Sean Preston, whose 21st birthday falls on Monday. The posts come months after Spears and her boys repaired their once-fractured bond.
For Jayden’s big day, Spears shared a photo from a photoshoot alongside a childhood snapshot of her youngest. She wrote, “Happy birthday to my handsome young boy oh dear lord we have this beautiful thing called life in front of us.”
“It’s such a beautiful delicate thing,” she added. “I hope I can be the best mommy in the world every day of ur life!!!!”
The Grammy winner also posted a throwback photo showing herself with both Jayden and Preston as toddlers, using the occasion to give Preston an early birthday shout-out as well. She teased her eldest about his fitness routine, writing, “Please stop working out so much because your muscles r starting to scare me … JK! Well 🤦♀️🤔. I’m so proud of the young man you have become.”
Two additional posts featured photos of her sons with a simple shared caption: “happy b day baby!”
Spears shares both boys with ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2007. The relationship between mother and sons had grown distant in recent years, but the trio began rebuilding their connection this past March.
That reconciliation followed a difficult period for Spears, who was arrested on DUI charges. An insider said in April that Preston and Jayden played an active role in helping their mother recover and seek treatment. “It’s just been really great for them to spend all of this time with their mom,” the source said. “Britney loves them both equally. They are her whole world,” the insider continued, describing their quality time together as “an absolute gift” and “the biggest joy” for Spears.
Since the spring reunion, Spears has documented her rekindled relationship with her sons across her Instagram account. She has also publicly celebrated their entry into the modeling world after Preston and Jayden made their runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in July.
The birthday tributes mark another public milestone in that ongoing reconciliation, with Spears emphasizing her maternal aspirations even as her sons enter adulthood.
