Teen Bullied For Her Incredibly Dark Skin Is Now A Successful Model

Meet Khoudia Diop, a 19-year-old Senegalese model whose gorgeous skin tone is making heads turn everywhere.

But the self-proclaimed “Melanin Goddess” didn’t always consider herself beautiful while growing up.

“I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone,” Paris-based Khoudia said. “They nicknamed me Darky, daughter of the night.”

“And now even online sometimes, people will make comments,” she added.

But Khoudia, despite the harsh treatment from other people, stays strong and true to herself.

“Growing up, I faced it by confronting the bullies,” the teen model said.

“As I grew, I learned to love myself more every day, and not pay attention to the negative people.”

And look at her now! Khoudia, who started modelling when she was 17, is winning people’s hearts with her stunning photos.

Although she’s a fairly new player in the modelling industry, her Instagram already boast a huge 235k following.

Khoudia’s story is inspiring people everywhere to embrace the things that make them unique.

“One of my goals is to make all my dark-skinned sisters out there laugh at those with their ‘beauty standards’.”

“The message I have for my sisters is that how you look doesn’t matter, as long as you feel beautiful inside,” she added.

“If you’re lucky enough to be different, don’t ever change.”
