When a pair of bombs went off at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013, Rebekah Gregory, along with many other runners, barely survived the blast.

Two years since the incident, she’s undergone a tremendous 35 surgeries, including one this past November to amputate her left leg.
Who among us wouldn’t be depressed and angry if it happened us? But Gregory’s resolve has only become stronger and she’s even more passionate about life.
On Monday, she returned to the 2015 Boston Marathon with her new prosthetic leg to run the last 3.5 miles of the race.
“Two years ago, I was lying on the pavement, fighting for my life. One year ago, I was being pushed in a wheelchair across the finish line when we did the 1K tribute [walk]. And this year, the only thing hitting the pavement will be my running shoes”
And guess what, she did it!
