Facebook has recently been voted the number one place to work in America, so it’s understandably a highly sought-after place to work. So how does the company decide who to hire?

Miranda Kalinowski, Facebook’s global head of recruiting, recently gave a rare glimpse into the company’s interview process.
She says one of the most popular questions asked by her interviewers is, “On your very best day at work — the day you come home and think you have the best job in the world — what did you do that day?”
Which is actually really tricky to answer (by which we mean answer well, not honestly).
Let’s face it, we all want to say the day we finally built a stationery fort or the afternoon we just ate cake because it was Mary the Accountant’s birthday.
Miranda says that the question gives Facebook “some insight into what the candidate is truly passionate about”, which lets the recruitment team work out if the candidate is a good fit for the company.
