Sean “Diddy” Combs received a bittersweet birthday message from his youngest child while serving time at a federal prison in Pennsylvania.
Love Combs, 3, appeared in a video posted to her Instagram page on Wednesday as her father marked his 57th birthday behind bars. The toddler, whom Combs welcomed with cybersecurity professional Dana Tran in December 2022, spoke directly to the camera with a message that quickly turned emotional.
“Hey daddy, it’s me, Love. I want to wish you a happy birthday!” she enthusiastically said.
“I miss you so much,” she continued. “I get my attitude from my daddy.”

The child went on to ask Combs what he had eaten that day and what he was doing, then sang happy birthday while laughing. She wore a floral dress for the recording. The video concluded by showing her blue and red drawing that read “Daddy,” with Combs’ 2001 song “Bad Boy for Life” playing in the background.
Love’s message came as Combs’ other children also marked the occasion. Twins D’Lila and Jesse, 19, shared an Instagram Story calling him “the best dad ever.”
“We love and miss you so much and we wish we could celebrate with you on your special day,” they wrote.
Combs is father to seven children total. He welcomed Christian, 28, and the twins with the late Kim Porter, whose son Quincy, 35, he adopted. He shares Justin, 32, with stylist Misa Hylton and Chance, 20, with businesswoman Sarah Chapman. All seven have continued to support him during his incarceration.

The Revolt co-founder is currently housed at FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania. He was transferred there last month from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following multiple reports that he had been living lavishly, receiving special treatment and causing problems with other inmates at the previous facility.

Allenwood Low has its own troubled history. The prison has faced allegations of inhumane treatment, including a lawsuit alleging cruel and unusual punishment and a separate criminal case involving an alleged plot by inmates to attack other prisoners.

Combs’ legal troubles stem from federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. He was sentenced to 50 months in prison and is set to be released on March 2, 2028, according to confirmation received by the outlet on Monday.
The birthday messages from his children highlight the ongoing family dynamics as Combs serves his sentence. While his youngest asked when he would come visit, the reality is that visits are constrained by prison protocols and his transfer between facilities.

The Allenwood Low facility, located in central Pennsylvania, houses approximately 1,200 male inmates. Its low-security classification allows for more movement and programming than higher-security prisons, though the allegations against it suggest conditions have been contentious for some prisoners.
Combs’ case has drawn sustained media attention since his arrest, with each development in his prison conditions and family life generating significant public interest. The birthday video from Love represents one of the more personal glimpses into how his absence is affecting his children.

The music mogul’s children have remained publicly supportive throughout his legal proceedings, using social media to maintain connection despite the physical barriers of incarceration. Love’s Instagram video, posted with adult assistance given her age, follows this pattern of visible family solidarity.
