Fauci Booed Before Throwing First Pitch at Mariners Game

As coronavirus authority Anthony Fauci was ready to throw out the first pitch on Tuesday’s game, Mariners supporters booed him.

The first pitch between the Seattle Mariners and the New York Yankees at T-Mobile Park was delivered by the contentious director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

During a chorus of boos, Fauci threw a sky ball to catcher Scott Servais.

The team also presented Fauci with their Hutch Award, which was instituted in memory of MLB pitcher Fred Hutchinson, who passed away from lung cancer in 1965.

This isn’t Fauci’s first experience with a hostile baseball crowd. The baseball lover threw out the first pitch at a 2020 Washington Nationals game, while the crowd booed and shouted at him.
