Following the recent story of a baby dolphin dying after being mauled by a crowd of tourists eager to take selfies with the animal, a shockingly similar video has appeared online showing a man pulling a shark from the sea and posing for photos.
The video was filmed on Florida’s Palm Beach, US, where sharks are currently migrating for the winter.
The man, surrounded by people filming on smartphones, drags the shark to shore.
Before spending about a minute posing for photos with the captured animal.
He pins the shark down and strikes macho poses for the cameras, while the WPTV reporter who posted the original video continues to film.
Disgustingly, you can see him puffing out his chest to strike a more ‘manly’ pose.
Shortly after the shark was thrown back into the sea, where it reportedly “did not resurface for several minutes.”

While it might seem like the start of a sickening new selfie trend, the huge online backlash to this latest video of animal cruelty (thankfully) suggests otherwise.
