Frontier Flight Attendant Pushes Screaming Passenger Who Appears to Try Opening Exit Door After Flight Is Stranded at Gate

A Frontier Airlines flight attendant physically restrained a screaming passenger who appeared to try to open an exit door after travelers were trapped on a hot, darkened plane at Atlanta’s airport for roughly an hour.

The incident unfolded Wednesday night on Flight 2052, an Airbus A321 that had just completed its journey from New Orleans to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. What should have been a routine deplaning turned into chaos when a jet bridge malfunctioned after the first passengers had already exited, according to a Frontier spokesperson.

The crew shut off the engines and lights once the aircraft reached the gate, leaving the remaining passengers without air conditioning in the cabin, according to TikTok user @tavi.dinero, who posted video of the confrontation. After approximately 30 minutes without air, water, or light, people began to panic, the poster wrote in comments.

“After 30 mins of sitting there with no air or water or light, one of the ladies started hyperventilating, passing out, and her body was shaking, completely unresponsive, and they still wouldn’t open the door,” @tavi.dinero wrote in a comment on the video.

The poster added another crucial detail in a follow-up comment: “That girl is panicking bc her mother was unresponsive for 5-8 mins and they STILL DIDN’T OPEN THE DOOR. She was trying to beat on the door, not open it bc there was a Frontier worker standing on the other side of the door.”

The 13-second TikTok clip, which has accumulated more than 110,000 views, captures the moment a woman in a gray hoodie stands at the exit door demanding to be let out. “Open the door!” she screams repeatedly at the flight attendant, who has wrapped his arms around her and is pushing her back from the door.

As the flight attendant attempts to calm the woman and regain control of the situation, another passenger can be heard shouting, “Don’t put your hands on her!” The crew member pleads with those approaching him to give him a moment to figure things out before the video cuts off.

“@Frontier Airlines in ATL COUNT Your Days!!!!! This happened Last night 10/07/26,” @tavi.dinero captioned the post.

The poster also alleged in comments that first-class passengers were allowed to deplane before the jet bridge broke, and that the pilots exited the aircraft while others remained stuck. “They let the first class off and cut the plane off and the pilots got off,” she wrote.

Frontier’s account differs on some details. A spokesperson told Paddle Your Own Kanoo that the flight landed 20 minutes early and taxied to the gate normally. The jet bridge initially attached to the forward exit door as expected, and deplaning began for the first passengers.

“Announcements were made to keep passengers apprised of what was happening,” the spokesperson said. “Once the jet bridge was safely repaired and reconnected, deplaning continued. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort that arose during this process. We are continuing to seek further details.”

The spokesperson explained that the jet bridge became misaligned with the door after the initial deplaning, forcing flight attendants to halt the process for safety reasons while maintenance workers attempted repairs.

The video has fueled fresh scrutiny of Frontier’s operational practices, with the airline already facing a reputation for customer service incidents. The exact duration of the delay remains disputed, with passenger accounts suggesting up to an hour and the airline not specifying a timeframe beyond the initial 20-minute early arrival.
