On Sunday, US discount retail store Target opened its doors for a limited-time only sale of Lily Pulitzer for Target collection in stores and online.

For those in the know, this is the “it” brand for girls. A diva’s delight. And Target’s collection costs hundreds of dollars less than the regular line. But would the clothing fit for a princess cause things to turn ugly?
The scene was restless.

Soon girls flooded in, social media blew up and the stores sold out. Reports were the racks were bare within minutes.
Lilly addicts even crashed Target’s website.
Due to the overwhelming excitement for the #LillyforTarget collection we are making adjustments to our website. Stay tuned for updates.

The lucky ones cleaned up.

And promptly showed off.
Others weren’t quite so fortunate.

They expressed a slight displeasure online… One woman was quoted as saying: “Bitches! You’re all bitches!”

People even began selling the Target line on eBay for a profit.
This is infuriating. The point of Lilly @Target was so it could be affordable. Not for rude people to make profits. pic.twitter.com/wQnGd5nR90

And those people… according to sources… suck.

But in the end the cynics agreed, they didn’t even want that “fake” Lilly ANYWAY.
@madi_hucks @Hannah_McC21 it's okay I don't want their fake Lilly like buying 10 of everything to sell on eBay, who does that?!?
