Jim Schrembi, 37, was knocked unconscious after falling from a tree at work. He was rescued by the East Anglia Air Ambulance, where Prince William works as an air ambulance pilot.
He joked, “It wasn’t until they were actually loading me into the helicopter and I said, ‘Wilsy better not be flying this thing”.
But it turned out the future king of England had been holding Jim’s head while the medical team treated him and was now flying Jim to hospital in the air ambulance.
“He turned round and said, ‘Oh, I’ve been holding your head for the last thirty minutes.'”
And thoughtful Wills even went to check up on Jim in the trauma room afterwards. Talk about His Royal Loveliness.
Jim suffered a dislocated shoulder and hip but is recovering well — and has a great story to tell!
