Heidi Klum has unveiled her most elaborate Halloween costume yet for her 25th annual party.
The 53-year-old supermodel arrived at Cathédrale Restaurant at Moxy East Village in New York City completely encased inside an enormous, bloodied severed hand, navigating the blue carpet from within a hollow internal harness. Oscar-nominated prosthetics designer Mike Marino, her longtime collaborator, engineered the towering prosthetic limb alongside his Prosthetic Renaissance studio crew. Marino described the 2026 build as “one of the most complicated” builds of his career, requiring full-body casting to construct a load-bearing internal skeleton that could balance on simulated fingertips without collapsing.
The severed hand stood upright on five giant fingers tipped with pointed oxblood-lacquered nails, with the most horrific element sculpted into the back: an open, parasitic face complete with weeping eyeholes, exposed muscle tissue, and a gaping circular mouth packed with rows of rotten, irregular teeth. Klum peered out through bruised ocular slits carved into the skin while communicating through the monster’s gnashing central maw. Above the face, the severed wrist stump erupted in shredded striated tendons, exposed bone marrow, and dripping coagulated stage blood that trailed down the back of the limb.

The grotesque limb was accessorized with high-society cocktail jewelry, including an oversized textured gold ring featuring a massive emerald-cut green gemstone mounted on the ring finger. A team of assistants walked alongside her in character as emergency containment personnel, with one dressed in a blood-spattered yellow Hazmat decontamination suit, industrial respirator mask, and rubber gloves. As photographers called out, they theatrically “fed” the bloody oral cavity using a large medical syringe to keep the monster sedated.
Klum had spent weeks dropping cryptic social media teases that sent fans into wild speculation. She shared macro video clips and photographs of glistening silicone textures, raw organ-like webbing, and bloody cotton swabs on Instagram, leading followers to predict she would appear as the grotesque “Monstro Elisasue” from The Substance or a fungal zombie from The Last of Us. Instead, she subverted expectations with an entirely original, surreal body-horror build leaning heavily into vintage practical creature effects.
The shocking reveal returns to the viral shock tactics that defined Klum’s legendary 2022 rainworm, which followed high-concept character builds like 2024’s dual E.T. Arrival and 2025’s animatronic Medusa. Marino also partnered with Klum earlier this year to craft her marble-sculpture Met Gala look, continuing their ongoing creative partnership.
The 25th annual bash cements Klum’s status as the undisputed queen of Halloween, blending extreme splatter gore, Cronenberg-inspired biological mutation, and high-fashion luxury jewelry into a single spectacle.
Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, accompanied her to the event.
Klum’s next project appearance will be her annual Halloween party tradition continuing into its 26th year.
